Report argues no mother would make her child so insecure for ratings

In January this year, rumor got out, after Kris Jenner's book was published, detailing a torrid extra-marital affair, that Khloe Kardashian wasn't really a Kardashian. Afterwards, it has emerged, Kris urged Khloe to get a DNA test.

As is the case with all things Kardashian, this episode too was documented on camera and aired the other night on the spinoff show “Khloe & Lamar.”

Viewers at home saw a very upset Khloe being basically pushed by her mother and manager Kris to get a DNA test to see whether she was or not her father's daughter.

Her sisters, Kourtney and Kim, urged her to do the same, while her brother Rob cracked jokes at her expense, seemingly unaware of the effect all this was having on her.

As Hollywood Life sees it, this is a clear example of why Kris Jenner is such a bad mother.

Because she's also the girls' manager, it's understandable that she do anything in her power to make them richer, more in demand, more talked about and what-not, the e-zine argues.

However, as her mother, to purposely instigate these rumors by dropping painful hints in your book, and then to further cast doubt in your child's mind, is terribly cruel and irresponsible, not to mention abnormal.

“Kris Jenner – a normal mother would NEVER have written a book about cheating on her husband, let alone fueled her daughter Khloe’s insecurity by trying to force her to get a DNA test,” HL writes.

“In any case Kris – you’ve been the total instigator of Khloe’s misery, starting with revealing your affair to the world and then urging your other daughters to be your DNA test surrogates,” adds the same media outlet.

“A normal mother wouldn’t have said a word, period. But if something did ever become public, a normal loving mother would have reassured her daughter that she was her father’s daughter, would have dismissed the rumors as nonsense, and simply would have told her daughter that she loved her and her father loved her and her DNA was totally irrelevant!” Hollywood Life goes on to say.

The mag believes Khloe deserves praise for the way she handled everything, and especially for refusing to get the DNA test because “[her] father is [her] father and [her] stepfather is [her] stepfather.”

She stood up to the family and faced the world knowing that what she held as true was more important for herself than what others might believe of her.

Of course, there are also voices saying that the entire “paternity scandal” was carefully orchestrated by the family (so Khloe was in on it) just to create another artificial drama to feature on the show.

We'll probably never know the “real” truth.
