Kim Kardashian is slowly finding out that getting out of her second marriage is harder than it was getting into it and staying married. Kris Humphries has turned down the financial agreement she proposed to him, and is now asking for a “public apology.”

As we also informed you a while back, Kris' legal representatives have reached out to Kim's to let her know that he'd consider granting her the divorce in exchange of $7 million (€5.35 million).

She initially denied his request but, by the time she changed her mind and agreed to pay him, he had changed his as well, PageSix says.

Now, Kris would only consider another offer from Kim if she accepts to grant him a “public apology.” With it must also come the admission that the marriage was fake.

“Sources tell us Nets star Humphries is holding back on a divorce settlement with the reality raven and even turned down a $7 million offer from her to 'shut up and go away',” the e-zine writes.

As per the unnamed spies, Kris believes that, ever since she filed for divorce, Kim has been working overtime to tarnish his reputation, which is why he wants her to apologize to him in the press.

“Kim’s camp is depicting him as money-hungry, but in fact he turned down a $7 million settlement. Her camp is putting out stories about 'Kim’s divorce hell' hoping he’ll cave in, but he won’t,” says a friend.

Humphries' other angle in this approach is that he wants the world to know he wasn't in on the marriage scam: he truly believed he was saying “I Do” for life.

“Kris wants Kim to admit to fraud, to admit the whole thing was staged for publicity, to make a public apology to him because he really wanted a marriage,” notes the insider.

“They are trying to spin Kim as the victim, but Kris isn’t going to stand for it,” the spy underlines.

Kim and Kris were married in August last year in a ceremony that reportedly made them more money than it cost. She filed for divorce 72 days later.
