Roccat proudly added its latest gaming mouse, the Kova[+], to its website, a certain peripheral that, as always, strives to combine both performance and affordability in an aesthetically-pleasing package.

When making gaming peripherals, hardware companies have to take into account various factors, and the degree to which they are all addressed eventually decides what consumer base it targets.

Mice and keyboards that are solely concerned with affordability usually stick to the standard shape and lack any multimedia buttons or programmable keys.

On the other hand, high-end devices are the ones that manage to optimize all aspects, even if that does end up necessitating a higher price.

Since gamers and enthusiasts usually have the finances necessary for such items, mice and keyboards now come with a myriad of shortcut keys, unusual form factors and various elements that enhance comfort.

Roccat's new Kova[+] seems to strike a sort of balance, so to speak, as it is versatile while not overly intricate or pricey.

One of its main assets is the 3,200 dpi Pro-Optic R2 sensor and a maximum speed per second of 40 inches.

There is also mention of a 1,000 Hz polling rate, as well as the EasyShift[+] technology, which allows one to configure the seven programmable buttons available.

To be more specific, 14 actions can be set up, as well as two extra ones, assignable to the mouse wheel.

Other specifications include a 2-meter long USB cable, non-slip sides and a rubberized mouse wheel, for a firm, comfortable grip, plus usability by both right-handed and left-handed gamers.

Finally, there is an LED lighting system which can relay seven colors, while the sound feedback function notifies of any changes made to the sensitivity, dpi and profiles.

One can study the Roccat Kova[+] gaming mouse in detail here and buyers will have to be willing to part with 50 Euro in exchange for it when it finally starts selling, later this month.
