14 DAY TRIAL // There might be a criminal that's onto the Kardashian family, or so local police forces suspect, after this week, two of the Kardashian sisters, Khloe and Kourtney have reported items being stolen from their home. It looks like with all that fame come some not so pleasant surprises.
After, at the beginning of the week, Khloe reported to police that a quarter of a million dollars worth of jewelry was stolen from her home, TMZ now reveals that Kourtney's house was also hit and $50,000 (€36,379) in cash mysteriously disappeared.
Sources from inside the family are saying that the large sum of money was due to an appearance Kourtney had made and which had been paid in cash. Said cash was left in the house and all of a sudden it wasn't there anymore.
The same sources in the family are claiming that Kourtney thinks it was an inside job. She had it stored in a safe in the house for a couple of days with an intent to deposit it in a bank at a later date. However, when she went to retrieve the money and take it to the bank, she was surprised to discover it was gone.
Then, this week, Khloe gets $250,000 (€181,899) worth of jewelry stolen from her Tarzana home and it's believed that she also suspects it was an inside job. Gold watches and chains belonging to Khloe and former husband Lamar Odom suddenly went missing from the home that hadn't been inhabited in over a month.
Cops called on location believe it was an inside job because there was no sign of a forced entry. The house was left uninhabited since Khloe filed for divorce from Lamar and it's being reported that she has since sold it to “Big Bang Theory” actress Kaley Cuoco.
The theft in Khloe's former home was discovered on Monday night when Khloe and her mother Kris came to collect personal belonging before presenting the home to the new owner.
Given the time frame between the two heists, police are now thinking the two incidents are related because Khloe and Kourtney work with the same people. Officers are not trying to connect the dots and see which people in their entourage had access to both their homes in the past month.
Right now, the police think the main suspects are the tradesmen who have done some work on Kourtney's home this past month and thus had access to the house.
