Kourtney Kardashian gave birth to son Mason a little over a month ago. Moreover, while it’s common for celebrities to lose weight extremely fast, even so shortly after giving birth, Kourtney wants her fans to know that this is not the case with her. The latest cover of OK! Magazine, which claims she’s already lost 10 pounds, is a fake and uses a photoshopped photo of her, she says for Women’s Wear Daily.

At first sight, there seems to be nothing wrong with the cover: it has Kourtney and son Mason facing the camera, smiling. She’s cradling her child in her arms but, at the same time, it’s pretty obvious that she’s much slimmer now, as compared to how she looked a month ago, when the first photos of her and her son emerged. The problem is this is the same photo of a month ago, Kourtney explains, but altered to make her look thinner.

“They doctored and Photoshopped my body to make it look like I have already lost all the weight, which I have not,” Kardashian tells WWD. She also tackles the issue on her Twitter page, offering additional explanations: the exclusive interview with OK! never even happened. “One of those weeklies got it wrong again… they didn’t have an exclusive with me. And I gained 40 pounds while pregs, not 26... But thanks!” the star writes.

As it turns out, if the photo looks familiar, it is not without good reason that this happens. “The cover photo features Kardashian posing with her baby, Mason, a shot taken seven days after his birth by Albert Michael of StarTraksPhoto.com. The cover image has been touched up to make Kardashian appear thinner on OK’s cover than in the original photo, which first appeared as part of the Jan. 11 issue of Life & Style. It also seems that OK has built the lower half of Kardashian’s body for its cover, as the original images were cropped at the belly,” WWD explains.

Side-by-side comparisons show that, indeed, this is very likely the case. As Kourtney has put her fans at ease, she still has not said a word of whether she plans to take action against the tab or not. Similarly, an OK! spokesperson was not immediately available for comment at the time of writing.
