14 DAY TRIAL // They have been an item for over 4 and a half years, have a child together and have seen more ups and lows than any other celebrity couple. Nevertheless, Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick will not be tying the knot anytime soon, as the season finale of “Kourtney and Kim Take New York” has confirmed.
For weeks, rumors have been saying that Kourtney and Scott were engaged and that the only reason they weren’t coming out with a statement was because they wanted it to be a surprise for the reality show.
As it turns out, Scott wanted to propose but he never got the chance, because Kourtney believes their relationship is perfect as it is, and sees no need to change it, Monsters And Critics confirms.
Previous episodes showed Scott, who professes to be a changed man, one willing to put his family before his selfish needs, talking to Kim about his plans and then heading out to buy an engagement ring.
In fact, the two set out to look for the perfect anniversary gift for Kourtney, with Scott realizing on the way that he may just as well go for an engagement ring: a gorgeous gold diamond sparkler.
At the anniversary dinner, Scott started preparations for the actual proposal, telling Kourtney how important family was to him.
“For me, a perfect relationship and a perfect life is having a family and being married,” he tells Kourtney.
Unfortunately, even before he has the chance to ask her to marry him, Kourtney stops him short, telling him that she’s not yet ready for this type of commitment and pointing out that what they have right now is just perfect.
“Things are so good now. We have finally come to this place, why would we want to change that? Why mess it up? I just feel like right now I’m perfectly happy where we are,” Kourtney explains.
The season finale of “Kourtney and Kim Take New York” ends with the two boarding a plane and with Scott telling the camera he’s “devastated” over his thwarted marriage proposal.
“Now I have to reassess all of my thoughts for the future with her,” he says.
