14 DAY TRIAL // Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian have been on board the E!-produced reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians since the beginning in late 2007, but they are now convinced that the time has come for them to be on their merry way.
They want out of the production and will not have their contracts renewed once their current ones expire, sources familiar to the situation reveal for Radar Online.
Spending this much time in the spotlight / on camera has taken a toll on their relationship, and they want out before it’s ruined altogether, apparently.
They’re done: “It’s not worth it anymore”
Though both Kourtney and Scott have gotten involved in many other projects in the years since they became A-list reality stars, all of them able to ensure them a steady source of income, they command the biggest paychecks for Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
The show will premiere its 10th season in spring, and in a fickle landscape where some shows barely make it past the first season, that’s no small accomplishment. Moreover, it looks like the Kardashian popularity continues to be on the increase, mostly thanks to Kim Kardashian and her marriage to Kanye West.
The fact that all Kardashian women and the Jenner girls are willing to disclose even the most personal details on camera also helps, of course.
However, for Kourtney and Scott, this is the end of the line, says a spy: “Scott and Kourtney do not want to do reality television much longer. They have been over it for a while and are tired of the show causing fights between them. It’s not worth it anymore.”
Decision could have come from Scott
Late last year, one of the many Kardashian-related rumors making the rounds claimed that Scott had decided he wanted out of the show because he wanted out of the spotlight to pursue other interests.
The report also claimed that he was thinking of leaving the show even if Kourtney decided to stay on board, which, admittedly, would have made things even more complicated between them. These two, as fans must know, have always had a very troubled relationship and the last thing they need is even more obstacles.
Insiders are now suggesting that he got her to see things his way, so they will both ask to be left to leave when their contracts expire. A rep for E! assures fans that Scott and Kourtney aren’t going anywhere (for the time being) and that they will be featured as series regulars on season 10.
