The waiting is finally over: the first episode of the second season of Kourtney and Kim Take New York premiered on E! last night. As expected, the new season will most likely be a divorce chronicle, explaining how Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries' marriage fell apart.

For weeks, there has been a lot of speculation about whether the reality show will offer any clues as to why the marriage lasted only 72 days, especially since both Kim and Kris professed to be madly in love before tying the knot in August.

As it turns out, no matter how in love they were, there were still major differences between them that made married life a living hell.

And the hell began moments after they returned from their honeymoon and they moved in with Kourtney, Scott and their son Mason.

It would be pointless to recap the entire episode, especially since fans have probably already seen it – and if you didn't, then there's no use trying to spoil it for you.

One thing is certain, though: no one should have been shocked to learn of the divorce given how things were between Kim and Kris, as Gawker also points out.

The e-zine also has a video of the most cringe-worthy moments between the two in the first episode and they alone are enough to convince anyone the marriage didn't have any legs.

You can see it here.

Footage shows Kris stomping on Kim's foot, breaking her toenail and then telling her, as she cries out in pain, “C'mon, there's no blood!.”

Another scene sees Kris lashing out at Kim in front of all her friends because she brought an instructor of naked yoga into the house, making him feel “uncomfortable.”

The footage ends with Kim in tears, as she tells a (weeping) Kourtney that she doesn't know how she feels about Kris anymore.

As Gawker puts it, there was never really any doubt that they wouldn't last.

“After watching tonight's premiere of Kourtney and Kim Take New York, even someone as dumb as Humphries himself should be able to see that the marriage was doomed from the onset,” the e-zine says.
