American company Koolance is introducing today, on its official website, the VID-NX690 water block for water cooling setups. The water block is designed for Nvidia’s reference GeForce GTX 690 dual-GPU card, and weighs 1.02 Kg, or 2.25 pounds in imperial.

Usually, without a very high-quality thermal interface material (TIM) and a powerful pump, water cooling systems have very little improvement to offer – or none at all – when compared with good air cooling.

Enthusiasts going for a powerful pump won’t be disturbed by the noise the pump is making.

Going for a normal and quiet pump still yields an improvement, as all the heat for the GPUs is put completely out of the case.

Priced at 145 USD, Koolance’s VID-NX690 water block is a good cooling solution for those users who don’t mind the risk of cooling their computer with water.

That’s around 114 EUR for European enthusiasts, and it’s quite cheap when compared with the price of the GTX 690 video card.
