Konami Digital Entertainment will be showing five new titles from its Kojima Productions development studio at the Games Convention, held in Leipzig from August 23rd to 27th. The new releases will span a wealth of different formats, showcasing the varied talents of Hideo Kojima and the studio.

Kojima Productions was founded by Konami in spring 2005 to give Hideo Kojima, the creative head behind the Metal Gear Solid series and head of the studio, more space for the expansion of his creativity.

Located in Hall 5, Booth F02, Konami will be showing four new entries to the eternally popular Metal Gear Solid series. The forthcoming Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots for PLAYSTATION 3 will be represented via a spectacular video trailer. The team's first PLAYSTATION 3 title reintroduces a host of familiar characters with series hero Solid Snake fighting a new breed of Metal Gear threats.

Visitors will also be invited to play Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence - a stunning three-disc adventure for PlayStation 2, featuring full online play and a wealth of new gameplay additions. Kojima Productions' Metal Gear Solid: Digital Graphic Novel and Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops, their two new PSP titles will also be shown in spectacular visual form.

Metal Gear Solid: Digital Graphic Novel for PSP will let Metal Gear fans get a glimpse of the precursor of an exciting new genre for the first time in Europe. Metal Gear Solid: Digital Graphic Novel connects the stylish and celebrated Metal Gear Solid comics with interactive gameplay modes. Similarly, answering the wishes of the PSP user base, Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops is the first action-orientated Metal Gear Solid for the format and is a direct sequel to Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. The Konami stand will be housing a video trailer developed especially for the Leipzig exhibition, and demonstrates a new standard for the stealth genre.

Finally, the Konami stand will also showcase the team's innovative Lunar Knights for Nintendo DS, a stunning epic set within a real-time game world. An exciting franchise from Kojima Productions, Lunar Knights will be shown in a playable form in Europe for the first time. It is also the first DS game to emerge from Hideo Kojima's studio and features a digital climate, where the top screen simulates real weather. Using two characters with different abilities, players have to fight hordes of vampires with special weapons before blasting into space for extensive shooting levels.
