Kojima Productions seems to be moving closer to an official announcement for its next internally developed Metal Gear Solid video game after it has launched a recruiting drive aimed at those developers who are interested in the series and would like to work on upcoming products.

The team has launched a portal that is dedicated exclusively to recruiting for a new video games, which says, “Big Boss wants you” and adds that those who apply have a chance to work on “the ‘next’ MGS.”

The main positions are for developers who want to create “the latest Metal Gear Solid targeted for high-end consoles and PC” and “next-gen game engine technology for use with the FOX Engine”.

The recruitment site also has a bit of artwork that is linked to the advertised game and shows Big Boss with a hound, which might be a subtle reference to the mythology of the series.

Those interested can make contact with Kojima Productions at the Career Pavilion of the Game Developers Conference, which will take place in San Francisco from March 6 to 9.

Kojima Productions has not made any official announcement about the projects it is currently working on, saying just that the codename of one of them is called Project Ogre, but the leader of the company, Hideo Kojima, has pretty much made it clear that a new stealth-based title linked to Metal Gear is inevitable.

Some fans have suggested that Kojima Productions will now tell the story of core character Big Boss and the work that he has done with his elite Cobra unit during the Normandy invasion in World War II.

At the moment Kojima and his production company are overseeing the development of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeace, a video game that is being developed by Platinum Games and will star Raiden in his cyborg form.

The game will arrive during 2012 on the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3.
