Kodak may not be in the best of situations

, but some of its collaborations still hold out, like the one with DM-Drogery Markt, which just yielded a new contract.

Working together, the two will deploy KODAK Photo Books and KODAK Personal Greeting cards all over Germany and, eventually, other countries too.

Kodak already has 105,000 KODAK Picture Kiosks, 4,000 of which belong to DM. Another 1,200 will join them by the end of the year.

“We are proud to continue our successful relationship with DM Drogerie Markt, which began in 2005 with our first market trial,” said Larry Trevarthen, Kodak’s worldwide director of marketing for retail systems solutions, and vice president, consumer segment.

“Together, DM and Kodak have continued to innovate to deliver a unique in-store experience and a full suite of photo services, so consumers can easily create meaningful, high quality photo products to share life’s moments.”

One of the things that consumers might come to love the most is the Creat@Home Software.

Retailers essentially allow customers to create personalized photo products which can be picked up from the store at a later date.

It is also possible for people to make a Creat@Home Software project and print it themselves by visiting a Kodak picture Kiosk or people form a DM store.

“We are investing in the newest digital photo center from Kodak to ensure our customers enjoy an exceptional photo creation experience. Kodak has been a tremendous partner, delivering high-quality solutions and premium products in front of and behind the counter, which integrate seamlessly with our existing fleet,” said Christoph Werner, managing director, DM Deutschland.

“By continuing to partner with Kodak, DM maintains its leadership position as the number one instant kiosk print retailer in Western Europe by offering innovative photo retail solutions and superior customer service.”
