Peter Kleissner, the Austrian that developed the first Windows 8 Bootkit, will not be present at the MalCon conference where his creation will be unveiled, instead, another researcher will represent him or his speech will be pre-recorded.

Stoned Lite is the first Windows 8 Bootkit built for legacy BIOS boot systems, and that can be started from a USB flash drive or CD where it will be only active in memory.

The MalCon official website claims that his VISA application is still pending approval by authorities and since it might not be approved in time, he will attend another conference in the Czech Republic.

At the European Bitcoin Conferene in Prague, Kleissner will show how a locally initiated BitCoin transactions can be redirected, but also, more importantly, he will show how a Bitcoin wallet can be better secured against cybertheft.
