These days, all celebrities have left Tinseltown and moved camp to Park City, Utah, for the Sundance Film Festival, to see which are the hottest productions coming our way in the following months. Actor Ewan McGregor has also made a special appearance the other day to join co-star Jim Carrey for promotional duties, with the latter telling the world what it was like to kiss Ewan in front of the cameras.

The two actors, hailing from different backgrounds in terms of genre of choice, have come together to film the comedy “I Love You Phillip Morris,” which has just opened at Sundance to great reviews. It’s not just the story itself that has already got critics singing praises for this movie, but also Carrey and McGregor’s performances. Speaking of which, funnyman Jim said kissing his co-star was not an issue since it was like a “dream come true.”

“A dream come true. I mean, look at the guy,” Carrey told the media gathered at a press event at Sundance about what locking lips with the “Trainspotting” star meant. As for Ewan, he too agreed that there was no awkwardness between the two while on set, since both are professional enough to be able to get into character, and then just as easily step out of it and get back to their regular life. “It’s the same as playing any other kind of man, any other kind of character,” McGregor explained.

“I Love You Phillip Morris,” directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, is based on the true story of a convict who falls in love with one of his fellow inmates, and decides to break out of prison together with him, in pursuit of a better life on the outside. “Carrey and McGregor make a nice couple, their characters’ love story playing out with sweetness, passion and devotion.” The Associated Press writes in reference to the chemistry the two thespians share onscreen.

As of now, “I Love You Phillip Morris” has been picked up for release in Finland (March 20), Brazil (March 27) and the Czech Republic (April 16).
