Timed to coincide with the official introduction of her Organic Liaison weight loss program, Kirstie Alley’s brand new AE reality show has premiered, as Gather can also confirm. Dubbed “Kirstie Alley’s Big Life,” the show will document her weight loss, thus offering all those struggling with their weight an insight into what goes on when getting from point A to point B.

As the star herself puts it, people often see before and after photos of a celebrity, and then have to listen to her/him speaking about how the weight was lost. What no star would ever do is allow cameras to document the journey from flab to fab, so this is how she came up with the idea for her show. With it, fans will see her search for personal trainers, start working out more and, most importantly, change her lifestyle to allow for weight loss. They will also see all this without having Alley or her camp sugar-coat anything, which is often common with stars.

“No it’s impossible! There’s no way. I want to weigh 140lbs so that means I have to lose 90lbs. Six stone! Funny how the dark, undeniable truth hits like a hammer when you see a number on a scale. The truth hurts, but knocking off 90lbs is gonna hurt a hell of a lot more,” Alley says after getting up on the scales and then setting her weight goal: fitting into a certain dress by New Year’s Eve. Just as determined is the star when it comes to how people perceive her: she’s not “plump” or “curvy” or “full-figured,” she’s downright fat. On the bright side, she won’t be like that for long.

“This inspires me for real. I can’t believe I [expletive] got [expletive] fat again. I spent my whole life thin. I curbed my appetite, but then quit smoking, then quit cocaine and ate tons and tons of food. And then I lost all that weight and loved it and had it off for two years. It comes on a lot faster than I get it off. What really bothers me the most is that I let myself get that way in the first place and lost it all then I let myself get that way again. I have to change my habits now which is hard,” Alley also says.

“Kirstie Alley’s Big Life” is meant to be more than just a reality show, for it’s a known fact that even this type of shows are scripted. This is meant to put everything into the open and reveal how weight loss can be achieved with eating healthy and getting enough exercise – and, of course, a little help in the form of Alley’s own Organic Liaison weight loss program.
