14 DAY TRIAL // Kingston's SSD division has been extremely active over the past year or so, the company managing to establish itself as one of the top player in this market segment, now they're back with yet another addition to their SSDNow V+ family of solid-state drives, namely the enterprise-oriented SSDNow V+100.
With a 2.5" form factor, this new series is now available in 64GB, 96GB, 128GB, 256GB and 512GB capacities, providing sequential read speeds of up to 230MB/sec. and sequential write speeds of up to 180MB/sec.
Furthermore, the new drive features enhanced garbage collection that is not OS dependent, making it a solid upgrade path to extend the life cycle of older client systems, including Windows XP, Vista or various Linux distributions, just to give an example.
The V+100's drive performance has also been increased by 25 percent , enabling more efficient data transfer over the previous generation, and the 96 GB capacity that has been added to the family offers a broader range of choices to enterprise customers.

Pricing for the new SSDNow V100+ models from Kingston depends on two factors, namely their size and whether they come bundled or not, varying between roughly 220 US dollars for the single-drive package, 64GB model and going up to 1,900 US dollars for the 512GB complete bundle.
