Santa Clara, California-based Intel is currently planning the launch of its next-generation mainstream platform, the Core i5-supporting P55 chipset. Although we still have to wait some time before these parts make it to market, it appears that the industry is also preparing for the much-anticipated launch.

Such is the case with Kingston, one of the world's most recognizable brands in the memory and DRAM markets, which has just announced that a pair of its 1333MHz DDR3 products has already been validated by Intel for use in its upcoming Core i5 systems. This only adds up to all of the previous rumors according to which Chipzilla would be launching its new processors in the near future.

Kingston Technology, an independent world leader in the memory product market, has just announced that two of its 1333MHz DDR3 memory solutions have been validated for use in Intel's future Core i5 platforms. The notebook-ready 1333MHz DDR3 non-ECC SO-DIMM (part number KVR1333D3S9/1G and 2G modules) has been tested on Intel's P55 Express Chipset, using the Clarksfield mobile processor. In addition, the 1333MHz DDR3 non-ECC unbuffered DIMM (part number KVR1333D3N9/1G), designed for desktop systems, has been validated using Intel's P55 Express chipset and a Lynnfield processor.

The news comes as further confirmation that Intel is currently working on the release of its future Core i5 processors and P55 platform. The latter is to provide users with some of the features that have been enabled on the Core i7 platform, but in a more affordable package. The launch of said platform will kick off a series of other product launches, coming to support Intel's latest desktop products.

Kingston's memory modules are already available and have been specifically built to ensure the support for a full dual-channel memory setup.
