There are 4 GB and 8 GB modules, and kits of up to 16 GB

We've already looked at the Kingston HyperX Fury solid-state drives, but the HyperX series is, in the end, primarily a range of random access memory products.

And the company has definitely not neglected that side of things, having introduced a range of RAM modules and kits that can reach 2400 MHz unassisted.

They come in slower options of course, if 1600 MHz can really be considered slow. In truth, it's the highest “normal” DDR3 speed there is, with the really “ordinary” ones being 1066 MHz and 1333 MHz.

The new Kingston HyperX Impact RAM modules can have 4 GB or 8 GB capacity, and can combine into kits of up to 16 GB (dual-channel). The latency is CL9-CL12, and the voltage is 1.35V.

All in all, for SO-DIMMs, they are quite capable and capacious. SO-DIMM being the compact, short form factor usually found in laptops.

Unfortunately, as was the case with the HyperX Fury SSDs, there was no ETA or price list included in the press release for the Kingston HyperX Impact DDR3 RAM. I guess that means we have to wait for retailers to start listing the things before we know more.

If you're at Computex, in Taipei, Taiwan, you might get an early look at them, but otherwise no dice.
