14 DAY TRIAL // Disney Interactive and Square Enix announced the first title in the Kingdom Hears franchise will arrive in Android and iOS platforms this year.
The game is called Kingdom Hears Unchained and it will be initially launched in North America as a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
Kingdom Hears Unchained will include story elements from the earliest parts of the franchise's history, but it will also contain elements from the highly-anticipated, upcoming Kingdom Hearts III.
Moreover, developers confirmed that “for the first time in the series history, players will create their very own Keyblade wielder and adventure through Disney worlds with beautiful and stylized art, while interacting with a rich cast of memorable Disney characters.”
But there's more, as Disney Interactive announced that each player will be able to fine tune his/her character with a wide range of features. This means that customization will be an important factor in the game.
Apart from that, players will also be able to collect, fuse and evolve items to customize the attacks that their Keyblades that we mentioned earlier, as well as play co-op with other players in guilds to take down giant Heartless bosses.
It will not be available on Windows Phone platform at launch
Kingdom Hearts Unchained for Android and iOS (sorry Windows Phone users) will also come with a new Avatar system and various outfit selection, which should make it one of the most customizable Kingdom Hearts game to date.
Among the key features of the game, developers mentioned the beautifully rendered Disney worlds with stylized art, co-op battles against heartless bosses, and a range of unique characters costumes, based on seasonal events and Disney themes.
Disney Interactive and Square Enix have yet to confirm when the game will be launched in Google Play Store and App Store, but more info is promised closer to release.
