This is the first patch in a very long time

The latest expansion for King’s Bounty: Warriors of the North was launched on Steam about a year ago. Along with the new Ice and Fire DLC, some improvements to the base game have been added as well, but a lot more bugs came with the expansion too.

Some of the bugs reported by players could be seen as game-breaking issues, which made lots of fans give up on the game. Today, about one year later, developer Revultive Games announced that a new patch is now available for download to those who own the Ice and Fire DLC for King’s Bounty: Warriors of the North.

The good news is lots of the issues that affect the game since its launch have been addressed in patch 1.3, but there’s a catch.

Most of the changes included in the update will require players to start a new game, otherwise they won’t be available to them. You can find below all the changes included in patch 1.3 that require players to start a new game:

- Necro-Lyakush in Marshan Swamp now sells Worms.  - One NPC in Ice Gardens and one in Grotland now can sell troops.  - Now you can't get more than one Alucard artifact and it recharges slightly faster.  - Shops in Island, Grotland and Tungsinn are slightly altered.  - Contrabandist in Isterreng sells maps to Freedom Islands if you complete the quest about pickaxes.  - Crafting items using schematics costs a correct amount of resources.  - Your magic book will not be erased in final battles if you choose to not to accept your allies help.  - You can still access the castle in Verlon Wasteland after defeating its lord.  - More troops are available for hire at Orc shops in Freedom Islands.

Thankfully, these are not all the bug fixes and improvements included in patch 1.3. The following ones confirmed by developers will not require you to start a new game:

- Poison effect canceling for lizards is shown in the battle log correctly now.  - Two stacks of troops under Invisible Link effect will no longer damage each other continuously until it wears off (now the second stack will get damaged once).  - Now you have an option of not using allies help in final battles even if you have them.  - Diplomacy skill affects undead.  - You need to defeat less heroes to get higher tiers of the 'Headhunter' medal.  - If you have Crown equipped and receive a level up you will get a message telling you which bonus Rune you've got (it is shown in level up window along with other Runes you receive during level up).  - Necromancers can raise killed Jotuns as Black Knights.

Patch 1.3 is now live on Steam, but it should be released on GOG as well, so those who own King’s Bounty: Warriors of the North – Ice and Fire DLC may now update to the latest version. Here is hoping for less bugs in this update.
