Kinemac gets an update

If I think about the next week, then I can already feel the heat, and I am not going to Miami. Of course, it's all about Steve Job's Apple and the big event in San Francisco, Macworld. Since I have just found out about another interesting event that's going to take place next week, I have to share it with you, so here it goes...

Kinemac, a 3D real time animation and presentation software for Mac OS X, is going to get updated to version 1.5 next week, just in time for Macworld! This new version will add features such as the ability to move objects along 3D paths, backgrounds with transparency and gradients, four views on the Stage window, a new command for grouping the Stage window, the ability to set the Master Volume of the animation and more.

After you'll get this update installed, you'll be able to drag the light source and target icon as well as the camera eye and target icon on the Stage, and while the previous version was only able to use an image as scene background, Kinemac 1.5 will be able to use movies for this purpose too! All you have to do is drag a movie file to the "Image/Movie" well and it's done. Easy, isn't it?

Kinemac 1.5 will also allow you to use up to eight different textures for each single surface, and these textures can be images or movies, but the number that you can apply depends on your graphics card. A free upgrade for registered users, Kinemac 1.5 is sold for 249$ and comes as a Universal Binary application that runs natively on PowerPC and Intel-based Macs.
