E-reading is now more environmentally friendly, as SolarFocus has introduced a solar-powered cover for SolarKindle.

Users will no longer have to worry about running out of battery, since their gadget will be powered by a lightweight solar panel incorporated into the cover.

Apparently, one hour under the sun is enough to provide up to three days of reading. After charging the Kindle, the solar panel exposed to sunlight will start recharging the reserve battery. According to its developers, the system can provide up to 80 percent of backup power required by the device.

Moreover, The SolarKindle Lighted Cover is expected to protect our gadgets from irreparable damages, while making them look even more fabulous. The SolarKindle will become available starting January 15 and will be priced at $80 (€62).

The new eco-friendly cover offering renewable energy is extending reading time, becoming a priceless asset for outdoor enthusiasts and for those who are far away from outlets. It can be considered a trust-worthy ally during long trips.
