The users will have to put up with some annoying ads

The online giant Amazon is reportedly trying to decide whether selling some premium advertising packages for 600,000 dollars each is worth the bother.

The money gained is likely to be used to reduce the initial price of the Kindle Fire to around 150 USD. That would be around 117 EUR for the European digital readers.

While this is not necessarily a good or a bad idea, but mostly a way to diversify the price range and reach some new customers that might just afford buying the cheaper Kindle, this should not be a general policy.

In our opinion, there should be an option: buy the Kindle completely ad-free for the 199 USD, or the ad-supported version for 150 USD.

This price reduction might see better application in Amazon’s new 10” Kindle Fire.
