Eight months ago, Amazon launched the Fire HDX tablets which brought about an innovation we didn’t see other tablets arrive with – the Maybay button.

Now the company is providing us with some stats related to the service, proclaiming its popularity with customers of the devices.

For those of you who don’t know, Amazon’s Mayday button it’s a system set up by the company which enables users to receive on-device tech support 24/7, each day of the year.

And now the company is announcing the Mayday button is the most popular way Fire HDX customers contact customer service. This happens because the response time is quite excellent, around 9.75 seconds.

Always jesting, Amazon gives a few examples of the funniest requests Kindle Fire HDX had when reaching out to tech support.

For example, one asked the Tech Advisor to help him/her beat a specific Angry Birds level, after being stuck on it for a week. On a different occasion, a group of friends asked how to make the perfect peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

Amazon wasn’t short of praising itself either, so it also included some user feedback related to the service in the press-release.

Some users said it was “Un-freaking-believable” or “MAYDAY Is officially the coolest!”

So, Kindle Fire HDX users, are you using your Mayday?
