Being a curvy woman is not easy, no matter what one may hear or believe. Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh, who’s always had quite a reputation because of her more voluptuous figure (by industry’s standards, of course), says that, while she’s now ok with her figure and has accepted she will never be stick-thin, she still has some issues with it, the Daily Mail informs.

Invited on a UK talk show, Walsh says being more shapely is not easy. Though she’s far from what one may deem “fat” or even overweight, because she’s not a size 0 and is obstinate not to lose her trademark curves, she still comes across certain obstacles when she goes shopping. One of them – and arguably the most taxing on her nerves – is when she’s out to buy jeans because she doesn’t know what size she is and finds very hard what she’s looking for.

“I’ve been known to shed a few tears at times [when buying jeans] it’s quite distressing!” Walsh said on the show. This Morning host Holly Willoughby agreed with her, saying, “I love shopping, I’m a woman and it’s my right to shop, but my least favorite shopping of all is for jeans… You think if your usual don’t fit you then you think ‘that’s no good – I’ve obviously put on weight’ but it’s not necessarily, it might just be the wrong cut. I just end up in the changing rooms with twenty pairs of jeans on the floor feeling thoroughly depressed.”

Walsh was on the show to promote her upcoming documentary for Sky 1 HD called “Kimberley Walsh: Blue Jean Girl.” “We went back to the beginning which started in San Francisco – Levi Strauss did create the first pair of jeans that were called work overalls which were worn by miners and then cowboys generally because of its strength – they were really thick and hard wearing denim. You don’t realize how obsessed with denim people are until you start on a journey like this. I was quite shocked. I know when Marilyn Monroe first wore a pair or Levi’s – she wore men’s and pulled them in at the waist and then women were like ‘we want to wear jean’ – it became a fashion thing then,” the star also said.

On the same occasion, Walsh rubbished rumors that she and her Girls Aloud mates were never getting back together – and managed to do so without even allowing room for talk of an upcoming reunion. They remain good friends and will probably sing together again, Kimberley said, but, right now, all of them are focusing on individual projects which allow for no room for a Girls Aloud new material.
