The photo with Kim and Kanye at the altar has gotten almost 2 million likes

Let it not be said that Kim Kardashian is slowly fading away into blissful anonymity. But, if you think about it, for her, anonymity would never be blissful, so it's probably for the best that her wedding photo that she posted on Instagram has recently broke the site's record for the biggest number of likes.

The photo in question features the blushing bride, romantically locking lips with her new husband in front of the flower-clad wall that overlooks the sweet Italian setting sun. A picture of perfection one could say, and the person wouldn't be wrong, except Kim is known for altering photos even on social media (we would like to quote the posterior gym selfie incident as evidence, your Honor).

Either way, out of need of conformity or maybe out of genuine admiration, more than 1.9 million people have found time in their day to click the “Like” button on the photo, making it officially the most popular photo on Instagram and proving once and for all that we can't get enough of the Kardashians.

The photo was posted on Kim Kardashian West's profile page on Tuesday evening, and, after two days, the number of people who came by to appreciate it was close to 2 million, God bless their hearts!

Previously, the record of most liked photo belonged to a sepia-tinted snap that showed Justin Bieber being caught in a loving embrace with Selena Gomez, who can be seen hugging his neck from behind, while wearing a large smile on her face. The number of likes on this photo was 1.8 million, and it was blown out of the water by Kim K.'s wedding bliss, which is still going strong.

The irony is that, while her photo is breaking records on social media, the main cash cow for the family, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians, is dropping in ratings, losing millions of viewers every season. In fact, it's gotten so bad, that they're losing millions from episode to episode.

This is why the producers were desperate to get the wedding on tape in hopes of getting people back in front of the TV screens. Ironically, that's also the reason so many A-listers decided to skip the wedding, turning it into a virtual D-list-fest, because they didn't want to appear on the show.

As the Good Book says, “God giveth and God taketh away.” But don't cry for poor old Kim, she's still got her own business ventures to fall back on. And such a shapely back too.
