Kim Kardashian knows better than anyone that she wouldn't be where she is today if it weren't for the Internet. In a new interview cited by Us Weekly, she talks about her “addiction” to the Internet and what are the best ways she's found to deal with haters.

One can easily imagine she has plenty of those.

In a new interview, Kim admits that, while she loves nothing more than to keep in touch with her millions of fans from all around the world, she's come to the conclusion that it's best to have a real life as well.

So, she's removed her Google alerts from her email account.

“I got rid of my old e-mail address, and they were on there. It was the big question in my mind: Do I add my Google alert to my new e-mail? I haven’t, and I just feel I have peace of mind now,” she says.

“I would look at it all day long. It doesn’t consume me. I hardly look on the Internet like I used to,” the reality star adds.

Still, she knows how much she owes to the Internet, which is why she's made a habit of always keeping in touch with her fans, via her blog, Twitter page or other channels available.

“I think that the internet has brought on a different kind of celebrity. We are very well aware of who we are, and what our place is. We are so active on Twitter, on our Facebook pages – we are writing back, we are connecting. We enjoy it,” she says.

Asked how she handles the negative responses she gets on the same channels she uses to be friendly to strangers, Kim reveals that, at times, she can think of nothing better than a healthy dose of humor.

“I love writing them back. People will write me, 'My phone battery lasts longer than Kim Kardashian’s marriage,' and I’ll write back, 'Oh, which phone is that?'” Kim says.

“When people are so stupid, you just have to have fun with it. Someone [without a profile photo] will say I’m fat, or a hairy Armenian, and I’ll write back, 'Oh, that egg picture of yours is so gorgeous',” the star continues.

As a fun fact, just today, word got out online that Kim and the entire Kardashian clan have renewed their contract with E! for another 3 seasons of the reality show for a reported $40 million (€30.2 million).
