14 DAY TRIAL // Sneaky Kim and Kanye are playing the oldest trick in the magicians' book which is called misdirection. They are attracting the world's attention to their upcoming May wedding in Paris and meanwhile they plan to sneakily get married in Los Angeles in the following day just to make it official state-side.
Hollywoodlife reports that Kim is going to become Kanye's wife sometime in the next couple of days in order to get their marriage license. They quote an insider who says “They are headed out to Paris within a week, so they’ll get their license first.”
This makes sense since there was widespread speculation that their French union wasn't going to be legal since there is a local law that requires at least one of the members of the marrying couple to have resided in-country for at least 40 days prior to the wedding.
This measure is thought to be enforced to stop France from becoming the next Las Vegas, considering that Paris is thought to be the most romantic city in the world and so many would choose to get married here and then go back home. In essence, just what Kim and Kanye have planned.
In order to sidestep the law, the couple reportedly plans to wed in the United States first and keep their French ceremony just for show, since we all know that the ceremony will take place as a swanky palace and it's going to be a big thing that's going to be featured exclusively on E! on their reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
Now it's also been revealed that Vogue has obtained the exclusive photo rights, meaning that the dreaded Kim Kardashian Vogue cover will have a sequel later this summer, when the couple is going to pose again, but this time in the real bridal dress and groom suit.
It's not yet known if the real ceremony is going to pop up in the news, but considering that it's a secret affair and they'll have to maintain appearances for the French wedding, it's likely that it will be done on the down low, well away from the eyes of the world.
Instead, we'll be granted a view at the posh celebrations in the French palace, which is said to be full of regal moments, including a balcony kissing scene, much like Kate Middleton had at her royal wedding.
