14 DAY TRIAL // Kim Kardashian finally got her dream wedding: it took her another 2 “trial” runs down the altar, but she finally got it. She married rapper Kanye West at an Italian castle in Florence, but not before partying in Paris with all the guests, including some who couldn’t show up for the ceremony.
Surprisingly then that she should choose Ireland for a honeymoon, after all this display of opulence and, according to some reports, complete classlessness.
Insiders close to the newlyweds reveal for the Daily Mail that to kick off the honeymoon by spending a few days in “rainy Ireland” was actually Kanye’s idea, which he came up with after Kim told him how much she loved a 2012 visit, when she flew to meet up with him there, as he was on tour.
He probably didn’t imagine she would hate it so much. Kim, you see, is used to the finest things in life, like eating out at posh restaurants, getting dressed to the nines and camera-ready, being surrounded by paparazzi and people screaming her name, having all these designer shops to choose her future outfits from, the works.
What Kanye proposed to her for a honeymoon was a few days away from the spotlight, without paparazzi and no shopping spree. So, once the novelty factor wore off, Kim became bored.
“Kim was allegedly so bored during the couple’s five-night stay that she begged Kanye to leave early, even skipping a pre-planned, one day stop in Dublin. ‘I’ve already seen Dublin,’ she moaned. ‘Can’t we just fly back to the continent!?’,” the Mail writes.
“How the couple ended up in gloomy Portlaoise, is a mystery to me. It consists of flat midlands, working class villages and very little to write home about in the way of touristy sights. Not only did they skip the touristy stuff, they also spent an entire afternoon riding mountain bikes on the muddy and treacherous trails in the Ballyhoura Mountains north of Cork. And that couldn’t have been very romantic, not with two assistants and two bodyguards in tow!” an insider continues.
When she felt she couldn’t stand it anymore, Kim begged Kanye to cut their stay in Ireland short and fly to Prague early. They had already promised they would be there for a friend’s wedding and, by arriving earlier, they could also attend the rehearsal dinner.
This proved to be just what Kim needed.
“Kim’s idea of fun is getting dressed up and going to some great restaurants, and shopping till she drops in some of Europe’s most posh boutiques. Not roughing it in the country. Once they landed in Prague, and Kim had a chance to get decked out in her finest again, she seemed a lot more content,” another source reveals for the tab.
Kim landed at LAX yesterday all alone. She’s also back to tweeting as per usual and she made sure she told her millions of followers what a “great” time she had on her honeymoon, marred only by the fact that she could not take her daughter with Kanye, North West, with them.
While Kim and Kanye were in Ireland and the Czech Republic, North was left in the care of her grandmother Kris Jenner.
