He weighs 350 pounds (159 kg) now, has “hit rock bottom”

Rob Kardashian hasn’t been seen in public since his sister Kim’s wedding to Kanye West in May last year. The wildest rumors about him are saying he’s in hiding because of his serious weight problem, which, instead of solving, he tries to make go away with junk food, self-medicating and booze.

Whichever the truth, the Kardashians are making it into one of the biggest storylines this season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, as the two videos below will confirm.

Kim has pushed Rob “to the brink,” into total isolation

There’s no denying that Rob has gained considerable weight in the past several years, but no one knows for a fact what he’s been going through. His story is being told through the reality show by his family, and by the tabloids.

Star magazine, for one, claims in its latest print issue (story via CB), that he is all about done with his attention-hungry family and living in complete isolation so as to avoid any unwanted contact with them or the paparazzi.

Apparently, Rob is grossly overweight and depressed, and refusing help whichever part it comes from. Instead of doing something to make his condition better, he has locked himself in the house, is eating his problems away, self-medicating and drinking himself to sleep every night.

Kim’s behavior towards him played a major part in his current problems, starting from the day she told him he was “too fat” to be in her wedding pictures, so he didn’t attend at all in the end.

She wanted him to let them shoot his intervention for the reality show, but he refused. In response, “Kim straight-up said if Rob won’t make an effort to save his own life, then she doesn’t care if he lives or dies either!” This “cut fragile Rob to the core.”

Rob will have nothing to do with his family anymore

Things are very, very bad, the report continues. Not only is Rob refusing professional help for whatever problems he’s going through but he’s also disowning his entire family in the process.

He’s had enough of their sick ways and he’s tired of having them put their entire personal lives on camera, just as he’s sick of them inventing stuff up when nothing interesting happens.

Insiders confirm for the tab that, indeed, most of the reality show is scripted. Apparently, another reason Rob isn’t included this season is that he’d always stray from the script, which earned him a “ban” for misbehaving.

Trust not your eyes

As noted above, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, as any other reality show ever made, is scripted to one extent or another. The tabloid reports speaking of an unprecedented family crisis come at the strangest and best of times, when the same family crisis is playing out on the series, now airing its newest season on E!.

However, the fact that the episodes were shot a while back (notice that Kourtney is still pregnant with her third child, who was born in December 2014) makes of this more than a simple coincidence. Someone is feeding these stories to the tabloids, and it can’t but be someone from camp Kardashian.

In other words, while it might be true that Rob is having some issues, it could just as well be that the Kardashians are lying about the whole, blowing a weight problem out of proportion. Welcome to the magical world of reality TV.
