She’s pulling thousands of dollars on endorsement deals and is making a killing with her reality show and her many fashion / accessories lines. She is, in short, a woman who has it all.
So that must have made things pretty difficult for husband Kanye West when it came to picking up a present for her 34th birthday, which was on October 21. What do you give the woman who has it all?
As per Kim’s admission, Kanye came up with the perfect idea for a gift, mostly because it also involved their 1-year-old daughter North West, aka Nori.
North West is a little “artist”
Every mother likes to think of her child as the most talented and smartest kid ever of his or her age, but Kim actually has something to show for this claim. Who else can brag of having a very expensive Hermes Birkin, aka the most expensive bag in the world, hand-painted by their little “artist”?
Shortly after her birthday, Kim talked to the press about her surprise present, saying she initially believed it had been custom painted by “some artist,” “some new artist,” and was shocked to find out that it was Kanye who did it – with a lot of help from North.
She had video of it, so she wasn’t lying, Kim insisted.
In her usual manner, Kim tried to make it sound as if the Birkin hadn’t just been splattered with paint by a kid who just turned 1 this summer, but actually painted. Because that’s what North is, an “artist” and a fashionista, the smartest celebrity kid out there right now, according to the curvaceous reality star.

So naturally, with Kim praising her daughter this much, people were eager to see what she was talking about: could the custom paint on this bag be really that impressive? Well, you be the judge of that, because Kim debuted it some hours ago, on an outing with husband Kanye.
The Birkin in question is a brown and white boxy white satchel with a leather strap, which has been sprayed with blue, green, and yellow paint. The orange handprint in the middle most likely belongs to North.
We see how such an item would hold a special value to a mother, but as far as art goes, its worth is questionable. In fact, if we’re to believe what people are saying online, Kim and Kanye have just shown how little consideration they have for expensive stuff, allowing their daughter to ruin one such item by throwing paint on it.
They do have a point, if you think about it: each Birkin bag is handmade from the finest leather, and future owners of such a prized possession must wait for up to 2 years to get theirs.
