The reality star wishes she never tried to enter the music industry

There are some things out there that even Kim Kardashian can't do. She says so herself. For example, while she may be able to hold her own against the most beautiful women in Hollywood today, as well as have daily headlines in major magazine just by stepping out of her house, she can't sing.

In a rare moment of honesty, Kim admitted while she was on the American talk show Watch What Happens Live that she regrets ever embarking on a musical career. As some of you might remember, Kim Kardashian tried (and subsequently failed) to take over the charts back in 2010.

At the time, she did her best to start out her musical career, but it wasn't meant to be. Despite the fact that she enlisted the help of successful hip-hop producers The-Drem and Tricky Stewart and had a song out called “Jam (Turn It Up),” Kim simply couldn't cut it and had to abandon the project right after it got started.

To make the show complete, her song even got a video directed by famous video director Hype Williams, who is known for his many hip-hop collaborations and for always making futuristic-looking clips. Hell, even her future husband Kanye West made a cameo appearance, but it was for naught.

On paper, this recipe for success was guaranteed, but somehow, Kim managed to muck things up. Now, when asked about the time she spent developing her musical career, Kim doesn't feel too comfortable.

“I cringed. It's definitely... a fun experience and we gave the proceeds to a cancer organization. But if there's one thing in life that I wish I didn't do... I don't like it when people dabble into things they really shouldn't be (doing). And I don't think I should have. Like, what gave me the right to think I could be a singer? I don't have a good voice!” Kim said on the show.

Don't blame her too much for trying to make it big in the music business, though. Back in 2010, having a successful musical career was a prerequisite for fame. And it's not like Kim was the only one who tried and struck out gloriously. We can still remember vividly that Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton also tried to sing for a living but were forced to quit.

One can only hope that, with time, Kim will begin to realize that there are more areas that she shouldn't be dabbling in, as she so bluntly put it herself. Maybe one day she'll realize that she wasn't really cut out to be famous, because she has nothing to be famous for. But our hopes have so far been dashed like her musical career.
