14 DAY TRIAL // Kim Kardashian is getting married in Paris, to rapper fiancé Kanye West and, by all accounts, she aims for the wedding of the year, if not actually of the decade. She will wear a gown by McQueen, just like Kate Middleton wore on her big day with Prince William, and she hopes to outdo the Royal wedding by a considerable margin.
At least you can never fault a Kardashian for not dreaming big enough.
The entire family is now in the City of Love, Paris, the capital of France, where Kim has been partying with friends and siblings, posting pics to social media and getting papped at every step.
In between all these appointments, she’s also been ironing out the final details of her wedding to Kanye and, says Radar Online, watching the Royal Wedding on a loop because she wants to have a ceremony that will be bigger and better than that.
The number one priority right now for the reality star is getting the perfect dress and she knows just the designer to make it possible: Sarah Burton, who is designing for McQueen, now that Alexander McQueen is gone.
“She has called on Sarah Burton to design one of her options. Kim wants the low-cut v-neck look that Kate had, but much lower, and she wants her gown to be tight fitting to show off her svelte figure,” one tipster explains.
So far, Kim has chosen 3 different gowns but she’s having some trouble deciding between them. Whichever she chooses, it will come with a $2 million (€1.46 million) price tag and will be kept a secret from everyone but her family until the big day.
Despite Kim’s Twitter statement that she and Kanye would not allow TV cameras at their wedding for a TV special like her nuptials to Kris Humphries, not few are those saying it will definitely happen, if only for the reason that the occasion is too big for Kim to miss out on it.
We’re talking here about a woman who let cameras in on her beauty sessions, including on her family’s reality shows footage showing her getting a bikini wax. She’s already agreed to one wedding special and, considering that she’s marrying up now, she would not turn down the chance to have it broadcast to the world – and make a killing off it.
Radar says that E! is picking up the bill for the wedding in exchange for exclusivity. Even so, because Kim is so determined to make the event one that people will still be talking about many weeks from now, she and Kanye are also paying for some stuff out of their own pocket: so far, their contribution is to the tune of $7 million (€5.14 million).
