It seems that Kim Kardashian’s third marriage to date, to rapper Kanye West, has good odds of lasting if not for life at least for much longer that the world thought it would. It’s already her longest, passing the 72-day “milestone” recorded with the second.
Kim Kardashian’s love life plays like a horrendously-bad-it’s-good soap opera or telenovela. Her first marriage happened quietly and led to divorce just the same, while her second became a genuine media circus and made her wealthier than all reality stars combined.
She and Kris Humphries enjoyed their marital “bliss” for 72 days – and then spent other 535 days getting divorced, fighting in court over the prenup, and dissing each other in the press. That’s seven times more time in the divorce than the actual marriage.
No wonder then that, when she announced she would be tying the knot with Kanye, everyone started cracking jokes about whether they would last even for those 72 days.
It turns out they did: Kim and Kanye were married in a very eccentric ceremony that took place at Fort di Belvedere in Florence, Italy, on May 24, 2014, and despite speculation that they only spent a few nights together since that day, it seems that they are happier and stronger than ever.
In fact, over the weekend, they made an appearance together, at Riccardo Tisci’s birthday party in Ibiza. Tisci is the designer for the house of Givenchy and a very close friend of Kanye’s. If we’re to believe certain nasty rumors making the rounds, he’s also Kanye’s secret lover and they even share an apartment in Paris, which would explain why he spends so much time there instead of being at home with his wife and their daughter.
That’s right: not only did Kim manage to stay married to Kanye for longer than she did with Kris, but they also have an adorable daughter together, conceived before they said their “I Dos.” Her name is North West, she is nicknamed Nori and she just turned 1 year old last month.
According to Kanye, Kim is the embodiment of the perfect woman, our modern Marilyn Monroe, a diva, a goddess. She is also smart and fashionable and beautiful and completely natural.
One thing is certain: it if ever comes to divorce with these two, it probably won’t be Kanye filing the papers, because he seems to adore her to the moon and back.
