E! Online quotes Andre Leon Taller, whom it calls a “prominent member of the fashion scene,” and says that the author decided to give the title of “First Fashion Family” to the fashion couple Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, as well as to their daughter, North West.

The decision was made after Taller saw the celebrities parade at the Paris Fashion Week and was impressed by their flawless style: “The three were a force of iconic moments as they pivoted around Paris, the mecca of fashion during the last fashion shows this month.”
He goes on to compare the two with other famous couples that came before them: “the Nick and Nora Charles of our time, the Liz and Dick Burton, without the brawls.”
The e-zine remarks that Taller isn't the only one making positive comments about the reality couple: editors from Vogue also remarked on their style, as did Ralph Lauren, the famous fashion designer.
Some time ago, others in the industry called Kim and Kanye "fashion flu"
Unfortunately for them, not everyone in the fashion world agrees with this point of view, and some have chosen to dub them “fashion flu” under the cover of anonymity. It seems that it was because of Kim's odd choice of ensembles and that she chose to dress her daughter in matching outfits.
Let's not forget that so many people were outraged when Kim Kardashian finally landed on the cover of Vogue, and some even took to calling Anna Wintour, the editor-in-chief of the magazine widely regarded as the fashion bible, a “sellout” for putting Kim on the cover.
Unfortunately, Kim's rising appeal means that people are more willing to overlook her fashion flubs and focus on her more successful outfits. Taller concludes his praising piece with “The new sexy, both Kanye and Kim, wearing high fashion with quiet fire.”
Of course, Kim picked up on the piece immediately and tweeted a thank you to the author on Sunday, because it does her image good when people in the industry speak highly of her. God knows Kim is trying hard enough to break the ranks of the world-famous fashion designers.
At the end of the day, one can't help but notice the similarities between such pieces of fashion journalism and the type of journalism practiced in communist countries where every other piece of news is written to praise “the glorious leader.”
