Looking at Kim Kardashian, it's hard to imagine that a person with so much success in everything she does could be so frustrated over public acceptance, but the fact of the matter is that Kim still feels the sting.

Speaking at a recent conference on Monday at the Code/Recode Mobile event, the reality star offered some insight into the dimensions of her success and the sacrifices she had to make in order to achieve the level of fame and prosperity that she had at the moment.

Kim is actually very bothered that people don't take her seriously

At one point, one of the people at the conference asked her why she thought that people didn't take her seriously in general. It seems that the person in question hit the nail on the head with that, because Kim chose to vent her frustration on the matter.

“That is a question that sometimes I get frustrated with. I pride myself in my work ethic and I work really hard,” Kim quickly pointed out.

She goes on to explain to the conference that “I think sometimes that when people hear that I might have gotten success off of a ‘reality show,’ they take that as a negative. We’re filming our tenth season. We’ve had nine seasons of spinoffs. We have more episodes than ‘I Love Lucy.’ We have so many milestones that people don’t think about.” She further declared, “I don’t think reality TV gets the respect it deserves.”

She then continues to give an example of her daily routine while filming the reality series, which entails waking up at 6 in the morning, hitting the gym, have breakfast with her daughter, shoot all day, and finish at 8 or 9 in the evening. “And that’s every single day, six days a week, for five months straight while we’re filming,” she concludes.

Kim also acknowledged the role of social media in her career, and laughed off rumors that she got paid several hundreds of thousands of dollars per tweet. If that were so, she claims, she'd be tweeting non-stop.

Kim credits her success thanks to her very hard work and business acumen

The talk then moved on to her highly successful game she released earlier this year, which has managed to make hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue so far. She thinks that the success of the game has nothing to do with her name being slapped on it, but it has everything to do with all the hard work people are putting into it.

It's funny to see Kim Kardashian, the woman who has recently been revealed to make outrageous sums of money from endorsement deals on just about every product you can think of and who doesn't really have any real talent, complain about not being taken seriously.

Kim seems to be forgetting that she rose to international fame with a raunchy tape that's still making her lots of money in royalties as it's still being sold online. Also, having a successful “reality show” that was often proved to be fake isn't exactly a talent.
