14 DAY TRIAL // She once said she wouldn’t rush into having her love life documented on camera after the terrible experience with Kris Humphries and their 72-day marriage, but Kim Kardashian is throwing all cautious to the wind where Kanye West is concerned.
Kim was on The View the other day and, as expected, she also talked a bit about her divorce from Humphries (which isn’t even final yet) and finding love again, this time in the arms of the rapper.
First off, Kim stresses that she’s grown a lot over the past year and that, even though it might sound strange, she has no regrets about what happened to her once-fairytale-like love story with Kris.
For a short while, she believed she loved him and even deluded herself into thinking that theirs was a thing made to last. Then, he became the first man she broke up with in her life.
“I’m such a different person today. I care more about the simple things. You really figure out what’s important in life,” Kim told the ladies on The View.
For instance, she appreciates time more, she explains, as the video below will surely confirm. She also values more being in a relationship, as opposed to placing too much emphasis on being a celebrity.
“I just really have grown up,” Kim concludes.
As for Kanye, Kim won’t say that she’s in love with him but, as Barbra Walters underlines, her “face just lit up” at the mere mention of his name.
She would like to think / hope / believe that, this time, she will be luckier in love, especially since she really wants to start a family and have kids.
Kim says she and Kanye have been dating for over half a year, but the fact that they’ve been friends for “almost a decade” has helped smooth the transition and make them understand their feelings more quickly.
“He’s been there to support me through so much. It’s not about all the material things, and I really thought he should have it,” Kim says of the expensive birthday present she gave Kanye.
