Over the weekend, socialite and television personality Kim Kardashian met the hottest teen idol of the moment for the first time, the one capable of causing mass hysteria wherever he goes, Justin Bieber. The two posed for a picture together, and the pic went up on Kardashian’s Twitter page. Because of it, she’s now getting death threats, as People magazine can confirm.

It all started from a comment The Biebs made on his own Twitter page in which he said something like, world, meet my new girlfriend. To this, Kim tweeted that she had officially contracted the Bieber fever. Clearly, none of this sat well with the legions of female fans Justin has around the world and some of them have even taken this a step further, by going to Kim’s Twitter to post death threats.

“‘Ladies calm down,’ the teen pop star Tweeted Wednesday after discovering Kim Kardashian, whom he met at the White House Correspondents’ dinner, had been receiving death threats from overzealous fans who were unhappy about their new friendship. Why the Twitter freakout? It started when the reality star, 29, encountered Bieber, 16, at the Washington, D.C., bash Saturday and later proclaimed on her Twitter page that she ‘officially [had] Bieber Fever!!!’” People writes, noting that Bieber fans can be as aggressive online as they are at some of his concerts.

“Worse for Bieber’s fans: the photographic evidence of their meeting. (Plus, Bieber’s caption ‘Look it’s my girlfriend,’ probably didn’t help things.) ‘I’m getting death threats,’ Kardashian Tweeted to Bieber on Tuesday night. ‘This is unBeliebable!!!’ The singer quickly took matters into his own hands, assuring fans that the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star was not the object of his affection. Bieber Tweeted that Kim is ‘a very [hot] friend but a friend. No need 4 threats. Let’s all be friends and hang out often’,” the mag further reports.

Just a few days ago, we were also telling you that police had to cancel a surprise 3-song gig in Australia after over 4,000 fans gathered overnight. The situation got so chaotic when word got out that Justin might have arrived on the scene earlier than scheduled that authorities decided it was best to simply call off the entire show, much to the disappointment of fans.
