Kim Kardashian and husband Kanye West are in Paris for Fashion Week, but after the “attack” on her by known prankster Vitalii Sediuk, they plan to take no more chances where their security is involved. They upped their security for the rest of their stay already.

The other day, Kim was almost knocked down when she was tackled by Sediuk as she was making her way into the Balmain show, with nothing but her bodyguards standing between her and the infamous Ukrainian “journalist.”

Should Sediuk target her again, he will stand no chance of success

Sediuk has assaulted countless other celebrities before Kim (he calls it “pranking”), including Leonardo DiCaprio, Bradley Cooper, Brad Pitt, America Ferrera, and Will Smith. He always does it on the red carpet at major premieres because he’s counting on security being a bit more lax on these occasions.

This certainly seems to have been the case with Kim, as her, Kanye West, and Kris Jenner’s announced arrival had made over 200 screaming fans and paparazzi gather outside the show for the chance to see them and take their picture.

It was easy for Sediuk to elbow his way as close as possible to Kim so that, when she got out of the car, all he had to do was just throw himself at her feet and nearly knock her down in the process.

He won’t be able to do it again, if he was thinking of it: TMZ says that Kanye has Kim now traveling in fully armored cars, surrounded by armed bodyguards.

“They're especially upset because the Paris paparazzi are following them in hordes... and crowd control has become extremely difficult,” the report notes. Of further concern is the fact that police did not press charges against Sediuk, saying they prefer not to get involved in such “minor” incidents.

So, for the rest of their stay in Paris, whenever they come out for Fashion Week shows, they will have the members of 2 extra security teams keeping everyone away from them.

Sediuk says he’s sorry but he meant no harm

Kim and Kanye’s reaction seems justified, but Sediuk is telling The Hollywood Reporter that it’s a bit exaggerated because he truly didn’t mean any harm by acting the way he did. In a statement to the movie publication, the prankster claims he came to the Balmain show because he imagined Kim and Kanye would also be there, because they’re friends with the designer.

He has nothing but love and admiration for both, and he wanted to express all that. Had Kanye come out on the side of the car Kim came out, he would have “crotch-hugged” him like he did DiCaprio or Cooper, but since he saw Kim came out, he decided to just “hug” her legs instead.

“It looks like I’m a monster, but I’m a normal guy. Well, what I’m doing isn’t normal — but I don’t have bad intentions,” Sediuk vouches.

Regardless of his intentions, he almost hurt Kim. Luckily for him, it looks he will get away with it because the police have no plans to investigate the incident.
