For once, technological ignorance saved Kim Kardashian. The reality star was oddly absent from the recent celebrity intimate photo leak scandal, when she should have been at the top of the list, considering that she takes upwards of 2,000 selfies every day (we'll pause a little while you do the math).

Kim, who has just been named GQ's Woman of the Year, spoke about the recent scandal and explained why her millions of photos weren't leaked. She is quoted by Heat Magazine as saying that “I don't have an iCloud account on my phone. I deleted my account ages ago because I didn't really understand it and I was aware that it was so easily accessible.”

“I think people in general just have to be cautious. It seems like there's a lot of people that love to spend their time hacking people's information, and that's just a scary thing,” Kim added. Of course, there was no mention of her famous leaked raunchy tape with rapper Ray J, which she has since turned into a profitable source of income.

So, the only reason there are no leaked Kim photos today is that the reality star didn't know how to operate her iCloud account that deleted the feature from her phone years ago. Luckily for her.

Kim is living proof of the old adage “when life gives you lemons, make lemonade,” because as soon as the video came out, she made a deal to receive a big percentage from the viewing rights, and now she gets money in the mail every month. That is, unless she orchestrated the “leak” of the recording herself (there are numerous voices who claim that the leak was intentional and made with her approval).

Kim went on to call the recent leak scandal “a wake up call,” although it's doubtless that if she wanted the photos leaked, she would have been on the list. And because she's true to the “any publicity is good publicity,” Kim posted some raunchy photos of herself several days after the leak, just to remind the public what they were missing.

But if in her case it was nothing the public hadn't seen before, the same can't be said about most of the famous women involved in the leak, such as Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton, Victoria Justice, Ariana Grande or McKayla Maroney.

The controversy of the leaked selfies goes on as a big investigation has already started aimed at finding out the source of the leak, but Kim Kardashian is hardly the go-to person in such a case, since she's made her career with outrageous photos and videos of herself
