14 DAY TRIAL // From the whole spectrum of celebrity moms, Kim Kardashian is probably the one who gets the most attention. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star has recently spoken in an interview about the joys and troubles of being a mother.
The Mail Online has asked her a couple of questions about what it's like to be rich, famous and have a baby to take care of, and the answers Kim has given are surprising to say the least. For instance, though you'd probably not think it just looking at her, Kim actually fancies herself as a strict mother.
She explains her position, “I'm really fun and playful, but I'm really strict on nap time, and sleeping in her own crib. Like Kourtney's style is where her kids sleep in bed with her, so especially with the third baby coming - they're going to need a bigger bed or they're going to need some other rules. And maybe on weekends, [North will] come and sleep in the bed with us. But ... I'm not crazy strict.”
The next issue on the agenda has been very debated in the press since Kim and Kanye got married: the issue of having more children. Kim went on the record previously claiming that she would like more children but that the only thing keeping her from having a large family was the fact that she was not so crazy about the birthing process.
Kim attributes her love for a big family to the fact that she herself grew up in a numerous family: “I grew up with a lot of siblings so I know what that's like.” Asked whether she'd like to have six children like mother Kris Jenner, Kim turned down the prospect: “I don't know if I would really follow in my mum's footsteps and have six; that's a little crazy.”
She has concede that her mother is a hero as far as she is concerned, though “I don't know how they did it - they were in their 20s and they weren't really thinking right! I like a big family and I would definitely like one more and see how that goes.”
Kim has also addressed the issue of juggling family responsibilities with her career and public life. She claims that it takes effort to balance things, but that she prioritizes in order to make sure she has enough time for everyone: husband, baby and work. She doesn't mention if they come in that order.
Don't worry, though, Kim also manages to find time for herself too. She confesses that she likes to have time to work out every morning. She explains that “I know that I don't feel as good as I could feel if I don't - and you want to feel your best so you can give to everyone else.”
Among the other things Kim does to indulge herself are the occasional lunches she goes on with her girlfriends, or the social visits they have between them.
