Get the nukes

One of the most interesting innovations that the Call of Duty series spawned in recent years is the idea of Killstreaks, rewards offered to the gamer based on the amount of players they take out in a row in multiplayer matches. The rewards are gameplay important and have a tendency to create a feedback loop, enhancing the abilities of the player and making them better on the battlefield.

Now, a list of the rumored Killstreak rewards for Modern Warfare 2, which is set to arrive on November 10, has been leaked on the Internet and it shows some really nice toys for players to mess around with.

Take a look at the list of Killstreak rewards: 3 Kills - UAV 4 Kills - Care Package 4 Kills - Counter UAV 5 Kills - Sentry Gun 5 Kills - Predator Missile 6 Kills - Precision Airstrike 7 Kills - Strike 7 Kills - Attack Heli 8 Kills - Emergency Airdrop 9 Kills - Pave Low 9 Kills - Stealth Bomber 11 Kills - Chopper Gunner 11 Kills - AC-130 15 Kills - EMP 25 Kills - Tactical Nuke.

Yes, that's a Nuke listed in the position for 25 kills, which means that players who chain so many kills will probably be able to kill themselves and all the other players on the map with one press of a button, considering that maps in multiplayer are never large enough to allow for a small corner of the map to be spared by the nuclear strike. Another interesting choice is the EMP offered for 15 kills and that can allow a player to take out many of the rewards delivered at lower levels while also probably shutting down radar and friend or foe identification.

Robert Bowling, the community manager at Infinity Ward, recently said on Twitter that he “Can't confirm nor deny any leaks for #MW2. Official stance is to just wait and discover the awesome yourself on November 10th,” so only those who have direct access to Modern Warfare 2 can actually confirm or deny the list.
