While there are more that a fair share of iPhone and iPod music docks available out there, the truth of the matter is that most of these solutions tend to occupy far more desk real estate than needed, this being one problem that you won't run into if you go for Kicker's compact iKick iK100.

Boating a pretty stylish design that makes use of a glossy black finishing as well as touch-sensitive controls with blue backlighting, the iKick iK100 is compatible with a wide range of Apple devices, including the iPhone 4 and the 4th generation iPod touch, the dock also coming with a USB charging port in the back that works with any USB charging devices.

In order to control this dock, Kicker has also bundled a remote together with the unit, that adds a mute button to the usual assortment of keys.

Furthermore, a menu button is also included, allowing users to navigate through the iPod menu, although it's not clear if this works the iPod Touch and iPhone or is limited to operating the iPod Classic.

Moving on to sound, we get pretty bold claims for such a small unit, Kicker promising "high-fidelity playback through the entire volume range," thanks to a digital signal processor that controls the built-in amplifier, making continual adjustments to ensure maximum output and quality sound.

Although this does indeed sound really good on paper I have my doubts whether those two 63.5mm full-range speakers can deliver on that promise of not.

Other features include a flared side port for enhanced low tones, a headphone stereo mini-jack output as well as an auxiliary input for other devices.

As far as pricing and availability are concerned, this can be bought exclusively from Crutchfield for $149.99, just a tad less compared to the older and not so stylish Kicker iK350. (via ceoutlook)
