14 DAY TRIAL // When Khloe Kardashian announced that she would marry Los Angeles Laker Lamar Odom after just one month of dating, most media outlets initially thought it was a hoax. Not even when the two confirmed the report did people believe them. Last night, in what has been described the most stylish, quickie wedding, Khloe and Lamar became wife and husband, People magazine informs.
Since such short romances rarely climax in a wedding ceremony, many believed the quickie wedding could best be explained by an unexpected pregnancy that Khloe intended to carry to term and Lamar could not say no to. That report was soon squashed, only to be followed by another one saying financial gain was the ultimate purpose behind the announcement. As it turned out, that argument also fell through when it was revealed the two had signed a prenup.
This, in turn, could only mean that true love was the case. “In what proved to be an elegant finale to their month-long courtship, Khloe Kardashian wed Los Angeles Laker Lamar Odom Sunday evening at a private residence in Beverly Hills, People confirms. The two were married in front of triple arches of white roses created by celebrity florist Mark’s Garden. At 5:12 p.m., Kardashian, 25, walked down the outdoor aisle in a Vera Wang gown on the arm of her stepfather, Bruce Jenner, with sisters Kim and a pregnant Kourtney at her side.” People magazine writes.
The 250+ star-studded audience watched on as Khloe said her “I Do,” as also did Lamar, and then celebrated with the happy couple in a tent on the property, where the wedding reception was held. All the while, cameras for E! were rolling, shooting everything for scenes of an upcoming episode of Khloe’s reality show, “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.” As a side note, speculation later last week said that the entire wedding was, in fact, nothing but a stunt to boost ratings, and that it had been paid for by tabloids.
