A remote control that makes presentations a whole lot easier

Making an important presentation seems to be a lot easier when employing the help of a special remote, which can be used during the various stages of the presentation in order to control the various multimedia devices involved (audio systems, projectors, etc.). And that's exactly the type of device that has just been launched by the people from Keyspan, namely the Presentation Remote Pro, which provides users with all the necessary functions and features to carry out their presentations in the best possible conditions.

Thus, first of all, the remote from Keyspan uses RF technology in order to connect to the device it's meant to control. It works on the 2.4 Ghz band spectrum and has quite an acceptable range (around 30 meters), working even through walls and furniture. The device also provides basic mouse controls (namely, complete two-button mouse capabilities), as well as a laser pointer, which is a very important tool in just about any presentation. Moreover, it sports a couple of audio controls, for adjusting the volume on the PC or Mac, as well as several advanced control functions that allow the user to start and end presentations or even hide the slide (darken the display) by simply pushing a button.

The Presentation Pro Remote package includes two different devices, namely the remote itself and the receiver, which is stored in the base of the remote when not in use. Moreover, both devices aren't very large, as the remote control unit measures 35 mm x 124 mm x 27 mm, at a weight of around 39 grams, while the RF receiver measures just 55 mm x 17 mm x 10 mm (and 6 grams in weight).

Keyspan's Presentation Pro Remote retails for around 80 US dollars, which is quite an affordable price to pay for such a device, especially considering just how versatile and useful it can prove to be.
