Either associating yourself – one way or another – with Justin Bieber is the hottest things in celebrity world right now, or Kevin Federline is thinking of coming out with a new album. In what can only be seen as an unexpected turn of events, the one-time rapper thought of putting in his two cents about The Biebs in a recent interview, by saying he was “proud” of him, MTV News reports.

Federline, who has long slipped off the radar and is now known mostly for his latest stint on Celebrity Fit Club, for being married to pop superstar Britney Spears and for once trying to launch a music career as a rapper (and consequently failing miserably), says he’s proud of what Justin has achieved musically. Just in case Justin was waiting for his approval. According to the former self-titled rapper, The Biebs’ BET nomination is the perfect example of how music is beginning to ignore boundaries once imposed by color of the skin.

“Music has no color so I think it’s great,” Federline tells VIBE about Bieber’s nomination for the BET (Black Entertainment Television) Awards. “I don’t listen to his music but if the BET folks think he deserves the nomination so be it. To all the teenage girls out there, yes [he’s the truth]. He’s affiliated with Usher so that alone provides him an outlet to be loved and accepted by fans that normally wouldn’t listen to his music,” K-Fed further says.

Even more, Federline believes that, because he too once tried his hand at hip hop, he’s in a position to relate to what Justin is going through – except that he was never as famous as the teen is. “Rappers like Luda jumping on board help. As a white boy in hip-hop, people just automatically don’t like me and don’t give me a chance until they actually meet me and get to know me. My advice to him is enjoy your success while you can and thank your fans,” Kevin adds.

Though chances are high Federline actually meant well by saying these things, the very fact that this is a piece of advice coming from the rapper who’s deemed (to this day) as the biggest flop by a debutante rapper ever has already generated a series of very snappy remarks online with celebrity bloggers.
