Kenyan officials are still scouring for bodies in the rubble after the attack on the Westgate mall in Nairobi.

It appears as though at least three floors of the mall have collapsed after the intensive use of explosives by both the terrorist suspects and the Kenyan army.

"There were 200 workers in Nakumatt [supermarket] and 800 people shopping. The walls of Nakumatt collapsed. There are a lot of bodies inside," a source involved in the rescue effort tells the Guardian.

An unnamed government official tells the AP that the military intervention has prompted the destruction of the mall.

It appears that they have caused the damage by firing rocket-propelled grenades. The RPGs have created a hole in the roof which resulted in structural damage and brought down the shopping mall.
