The Telecommunication Service Providers of Kenya (TESPOK) has released a report which analyzes the cyber threats that target the country’s systems. According to the study, most malicious software found on Kenyan computers comes from China.

China is closely followed by the United States and Korea, but Brazil, South Africa and India are also on the list, Daily Nation informs.

The report is based on data collected from various Kenyan organizations by TESPOK’s Industry Computer Security and Incident Response Team (ICSIRT) over a period of three months ending in June 2013.

The most common pieces of malware identified on computers from Kenya are the Slammer Worm and the Mariposa Trojan.

VoIP services have been identified as being a favorite attack vector for phishing scams, toll fraud, denial-of-service (DOS) attacks and eavesdropping.
