Kendra Wilkinson gave birth to her first child in December last year, but she’s been taking her time in terms of starting to work towards shedding the extra pounds she packed while pregnant. If, back in March, she was saying she’d embraced her curves and accepted she was somewhat heavier, today, the star tells People she’s ready to change.

Not only that, but she’s already started eating healthier and working out more, which means she’s seeing results. It all happened, Kendra explains for the mag, when she realized just how heavy she’d gotten, and how she needed to come up with a weight loss plan that would take into consideration her and her baby’s health first and foremost. In fact, she admits, her curves “shocked” her and made her realize she needed to act.

“After giving birth to son Hank Baskett IV last December, reality star Kendra Wilkinson went from a toned and taut size two up a few sizes into uncharted territory. ‘My curves shocked me big-time,’ admits the E! star. ‘It was a whole other woman I was looking at in the mirror.’ While Kendra is enjoying her new ‘different’ body, she’s looking forward to getting that tone back,” People writes. Still, she’s not willing to get back into shape at the cost of her or her baby’s health so she’s really taking her time with it, by refusing to go on a crash diet and choosing instead to lose weight with plenty of exercise and balanced meals.

“‘About two months ago, I stopped making excuses. It’s time to get out there and really bust my [backside] like I used to,’ she says of her now hour-long workouts at the gym and new healthier eating habits, which include salads, grilled chicken and chewing gum to curb cravings. ‘I was so used to being fit and skinny,’ she says. ‘I never had to lose weight until now. I want my muscle back – I don’t want anything jiggling. Cardio for me is number one. I need the cardio because I can tone my body, but I gotta burn the fat off!’” the magazine further writes.

As we also reported back in March, at the time, Kendra was saying that, though she knew she’d eventually lose the extra weight, she still wanted to keep some parts of her body curvier, like her hips and, of course, her backside.
