14 DAY TRIAL // Despite claims that her marriage to Hank Baskett has nearly recovered from the heartbreak caused by his infidelity, Kendra Wilkinson is done with him. The only reason she’s not divorcing him is her belief that relevance would be gone without him, claims a new report.
Since this summer, when transgender model Ava London went to the tabs to reveal the details of her alleged one-time encounter with Baskett and his many attempts later to buy her silence, Kendra has been milking the story for everything it got.
The scandal earned her a new, juicy story arc for season 3 of her reality show Kendra on Top, but also one season’s worth on Marriage Boot Camp, the Celebrity issue, and she’s now shooting for the Australian series I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, sans Hank, this time.
Kendra is trapped, can’t but continue married
So, as you can see, if Kendra were to divorce the man who cheated on her and whom she allegedly doesn’t love anymore, she would only stand to lose. Sure, she could milk the breakup / divorce story for a while and get some media attention for it, but it wouldn’t be long before people would not be interested in it anymore.
A source tells the Life & Style magazine that she has no more love for the man she was married to for 5 years and next to whom she hoped to grow old, together with their 2 children. His betrayal was such that she can’t get over it, and she stopped loving him.
“She feels trapped,” adds the tipster. “She knows if she leaves him, her relevance goes out the window.”
So that should explain why she hasn’t filed the divorce papers yet, as well why Kendra keeps pretending to be still fighting to make the marriage work. In reality though, she stopped a long time ago and is now just going with the flow, because the money is good.
Cheating scandal, most likely an elaborate PR stunt
Kendra’s story, both the official one, coming straight from her, and the one told by the tabloids (occasionally fueled by Kendra insiders), has changed considerably since the scandal broke.
The one she and Hank are going with right now claims that he didn’t cheat with London: he just smoked weed with her and kissed. Then, they went back to her place for more of the same, and this is when he learned that she’d been born a man and he fled.
He wasn’t trying to offer her money to cover up a salacious extra marital affair, he was trying to reason with her because she was blackmailing him, using their brief contact as leverage – as well as the threat that she would spin it into something more scandalous.
Wherever the truth might be, chances are we won’t be hearing it from Kendra or Hank, not when they’ve proven so far to have no qualms in exploiting their marital crisis, if there is one to speak of, for profit.
Nevertheless, the consensus online is that the entire scandal was planned ahead by Kendra, Hank, and London, just so the three of them could ride the wave of publicity towards more TV projects.
